"Bulletproof, again"

 

Each plate that slams into my body leaving me within

The clatter of the armour as it slams around my frame

Leaving me with nothing but a feeling that's akin

To hummingbird's erratic flight, or mountaintop aflame

Another life upon the altar, witness to all time

A passing of the stanzas that were written out in rhyme

The armour light, the fury heavy, dragging on the chain

"Solo flight"

I spread my wings as I fly all alone

I soar above the clouds all on my own

It is the only way this life could be

As I search through all eternity

To find an answer to the conundrum

The reason why mankind remains so numb

It's been a lonely flight along the way

But, celebrations still come every day

Five minutes has become five years, at least

To rend humanity from maw of beast

The simple-minded way in which we live

A barrier to burst, so on I give

Way more than expected at the start

To free the love and open up the heart
