" Ripples in the wind"

 Ripples in the wind

The ripples in the wind we cannot see

And, yet, they fly across both land and sea

To tumble through the fabric of our lives

And from those ripples, all of life derives

A shift that's never witnessed in a breath

Seldom witnessed from a birth to death

How do we steer the craft to splendid cove

Through unseen ripples witlessly we rove

Attention paid to clouds and lightning strikes

Willy-nilly, plundered by the likes

The thunder adds more ripples to the wind

All progress towards our goal, we now rescind

A sense we must develop for the ripples

Or end our time as life's unwitting cripples

As I said, as true of the race as the individual.
